1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Cactus Cars, a mobile mechanic operating in High Wycombe, HP10 0BL. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept any part of these terms, please refrain from using our services.
2. Service Agreement
a. Cactus Cars provides mobile vehicle repair, maintenance, and inspection services (the “Services”) at the customer’s chosen location, subject to safe and accessible working conditions.
b. Customers must provide accurate information regarding their vehicle, including make, model, registration number, and a clear description of any issues or requested services.
c. We reserve the right to refuse service if the working area is deemed unsafe or unsuitable, or if the repair requires workshop facilities beyond our mobile capability.
3. Pricing and Payments
a. Prices are quoted before work begins wherever possible. Any changes due to unforeseen issues or additional parts will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.
b. A call-out or diagnostic fee may apply, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
c. Full payment is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
d. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. Cheques are not accepted.
e. Failure to make payment on time may result in additional charges, including reasonable recovery costs.
4. Parts and Materials
a. Cactus Cars uses high-quality replacement parts that meet or exceed manufacturer standards unless otherwise requested by the customer.
b. If a customer supplies their own parts, we cannot guarantee their quality or provide a warranty for any related issues.
c. Any special-order or non-stock parts may require advance payment or a non-refundable deposit.
5. Warranty
a. All workmanship and parts provided by Cactus Cars are covered by a limited warranty, the terms of which will be specified before the work begins.
b. The warranty is void if:
- The vehicle is misused, modified, or involved in an accident after the repair.
- Further work is carried out by another garage or individual without our prior approval.
- The customer fails to follow recommended maintenance schedules.
c. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, consumables, or unrelated faults that occur after the service.
6. Service Location and Vehicle Access
a. The customer is responsible for ensuring the service location is safe, legal, and accessible for our mobile technician to work.
b. Work cannot be carried out on public roads, red routes, or areas that violate local parking or safety laws.
c. Cactus Cars is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, poor weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
7. Liability and Limitations
a. While every care is taken, Cactus Cars is not liable for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or subsequent mechanical failures unrelated to the service provided.
b. We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from our services.
c. Our total liability in any claim shall not exceed the total value of the service provided.
8. Customer Responsibilities
a. Customers must provide honest and accurate details about their vehicle and any issues.
b. Customers must authorise any additional work or parts before they are fitted.
c. Vehicles must be roadworthy, and the customer must have permission to authorise repairs on the vehicle.
d. Any complaints or concerns must be reported within 7 days of the service date.
9. Cancellations and Rescheduling
a. Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a booking.
b. Late cancellations may incur a call-out fee or charge to cover lost time and travel.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Updates to Terms
Cactus Cars reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website or upon request.
